Lakeville, Minnesota's Friends of the Heritage Library meet at 6:30 PM on the third Thursday of each month at the library. They have several projects ongoing, including:
Homebound Delivery Service: Homebound residents of Lakeville can contact the Heritage Library and request a Friend to deliver library materials.
Young Adult and Children: Friends assist the YA and Children’s librarians with events and activities.
Author Events: Friends welcome authors and audiences and help librarians coordinate new events. Lakeville and the surrounding community has several authors who have spoken or will speak at the Heritage Library.
Book Sale: The Friends hold a book sale in September to raise funds for future service projects.
One Book, One Lakeville: The Friends, along with many other Lakeville service and business organizations, sponsor events with the goal of joining our community in conversation over one book. Go to www.onebookonelakeville.com for more information.
If you are interested in meeting us, we would welcome you as a Friend! Drop by the library and pick up a volunteer form at the front desk, or email HeritageFriends@yahoo.com and ask to be added to our email list, or just drop in at our meeting!
